The class 700 Shinkansen is a high speed multiunit used on Japan´s Superexpress network, this unit normally runs at a high speed of 170mph along the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines. origionally designed in 1997 the class entered service in 1999 and were built until 2006.
