Trams and Trains in Pictures

This is a modern look at some of Poland's transportation in and around Wroclaw

A number 3 Tram passing by the city center on it's way to Lesnica

And running the opposite direction the number 8 is on it's way to Krzyki

Heading out of Wroclaw, caught by a level crossing this local "Dolny Slask" EMU is heading into the City of Wroclaw

Yet another PCC livered Electric Loco Class EU07 is hauling some 25 container wagons - picture shows it just having passed over a River Bridge.

Here we got caught mid way across this long bridge (see our 1st blog for more details) this is a visiting German loco of the class 189 and in it's DB Red livery. The loco was hauling 35 loaded hopper wagons.  The load was so heavy it actually made the bridge move up and down and was rather noisy as it passed by.

This Private livered "Lotos" Electric loco was hauling a rake of cement wagons.

An M62 runs light across the bridge.  Yes we are close, the walkway is only 30 inches wide at best so when these trains coming thundering towards you it is quite a thrill and also to catch the image just tokes a slit second before it's passed you by.

A class 186 hauling 38 hopper wagons having just crossed the bridge, the wagons are still on the bridge as well as being way over the other side.  Was a long rake indeed.

And the way back..... I was not fast enough to catch the front of this EMU Class EN57AL - so here is the rear end as it too travels onward to Wroclaw.

This Class ET22 speeding through Ksiegince Station hauling 38 open wagons

These trains and many other images of a similar nature are rather hard to get.  Using the xperia to catch the image is slow and often the tip of the front of the train is not shown but none the less using what we have we manage to capture many fine snaps and as such we hope you like viewing them.

A Sony Xperia Mobile Phone was used to shoot these images
